Chiara Vladiskovic, Solid State Expert at Dipharma Francis S.r.l., speaks today, 21st May, at II level University Master Course PRO API – Process Development for Manufacturing of Pharmaceutical Active Ingredients, organised by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Perugia (Italy).
The lecture is about Polymorphism and Solid State in the Pharmaceutical Industry. It aims to outline the importance of polymorphism in active pharmaceutical ingredients, exploring the characteristics that can change from one solid form to another, and its impact on the manufacturing and formulation processes and Regulatory and Intellectual Property issues. While the main technique discussed is Powder X-Ray Diffraction, other analytical techniques and their usefulness are described.
